Computer Vision

Computer Vision is essentially a series of algorithms that are run on images or video so it can can gain high-level understanding from Images or videos. As with many kinds of technology, computer vision has many different use cases and application, but our cheif concern with the technology is how useful it is as a surveillance tool.

While the most famous use of computer vision for surveillance is Face Recognition Technology, the most ubiquitous is probably Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPRs)
